About cellulite
Cellulite isn’t fat, so let’s just set aside that myth right now. Cellulite refers to the puckered appearance of skin when fatty tissue pushes through the fibrous bands, called septae, that connect skin to muscle.
These bands “pull down and tether the skin, and that’s what leads to the dimpled appearance of cellulite.
Common names for cellulite are orange-peel skin, cottage-cheese skin, hail damage, and the mattress phenomenon. Cellulite can affect both men and women, but it is more common in females, due to the different distributions of fat, muscle, and connective tissue. Between 80 and 90 percent of women may experience cellulite at some point in their lives.
Loss of skin thickness, which happens as we age, can contribute to the appearance of cellulite, as can hormones, poor diet, an unhealthy lifestyle, accumulated toxins, genetics, weight gain, inactivity, pregnancy etc.
Cause
The exact cause of cellulite is unknown, but it appears to result from an interaction between the connective tissue in the dermatological layer that lies below the surface of the skin, and the layer of fat that is just below it. In women, the fat cells and connective tissue in this layer are arranged vertically. If the fat cells protrude into the layer of skin, this gives the appearance of cellulite.
In men, the tissue has a criss-cross structure, which may explain why are less likely to have cellulite than women. Some other factors appear to be linked to the chance of having cellulite.
Stages of cellulite
It is a common misconception that cellulite will disappear with weight loss and it is not the case necessarily because cellulite is located in the upper level of the skin which is why when fatty tissue and volume are reduced, the cellulite does not always disappear.
Cellulite is a difficult to treat condition but by using a combination of natural therapies: massages and body wrapping treatments, we can visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite.
If you don’t have a problem with the dimpled skin on your thighs, buttocks, abdomen, or upper arms, there’s no reason to second-guess yourself. Cellulite is not a medical issue; it’s purely cosmetic, affecting 80-90% of women. Having cellulite is the norm for just about every woman (and even some men). If you’re bothered by cellulite’s orange-peel aesthetic, Madero therapy is a great treatments for achieving a smoother look!

FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
Does working out get rid of cellulite?
Exercises that firm and tone muscles and tighten up your skin will help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. It is definitely recommended together with salon treatments.
Do topical treatments for cellulite work?
Products containing ingredients like caffeine and retinol, for instance, may improve the appearance of skin. Caffeine is thought to break down fat, while retinol thickens the top layer of skin. It will make it look a little bit better, but don’t expect that by using only a cream is going to take away your cellulite.
How often should I get massage done in order to see the results?
In case of body massages, the multiple sessions have a cumulative effect if done close together. You will get more out of 4 sessions spread out over 4 weeks, than out of 4 sessions spread out over 4 months. Our sessions progress to deeper body layers and to related muscle groups when we can see you again within 1-2 weeks. With longer than 2 weeks between sessions, some work will need to be repeated. And it will likely take more total sessions to solve the issue. Once you are out of the pain cycle, regular maintenance sessions once every 4-6 weeks will keep you feeling pain free.
In case of anti-cellulite treatments the best and fastest results are seen having a massage every second day, because the body needs time to “clear” accumulated toxins.
What can I do to achieve better and faster results?
It is important to drink at least 2 liters of water daily during maderotherapy anti-celullite treatments (all types of sugar-free tea allowed) and avoid sweets and carbonated drinks. Regulated diet and exercising will also contribute to your results.
Will I loose weight during Madero therapy massage course?
With maderotherapy treatments you do not really loose weight. This treatment is more focused on contouring your body figure and feeling good in your skin. However clients can loose some inches due to the lymphatic drainage (reducing water retention) and contouring the body. Clients with regular diet and exercising in combination with maderotherapy can lose weight and speeds up their metabolism.
What are contraindications for Madero Therapy?
Maderotherapy treatment is not recommended for people in carcinogenic processes, If having kidney problems or pathologies, advanced varicose vein problems (inflamed and strongly expressed veins), for people with some type of allergic reaction to wood and all kinds of skin burns.
In cases of an early stage after any kind of surgery, any kind of lumps or skin disease.
