Mandelic Acid 40%

Mandelic Acid peels are a type of alpha hydroxy (AHA) peel, similar to glycolic acid and lactic acid peels. Because Mandelic acid molecules are larger than both that of glycolic and lactic acid, Mandelic peels are less penetrating and irritating, but still very effective for treating damaged skin. It works to accelerate cell turnover by dissolving the tiny bonds that hold skin cells together, helping to remove dead skin on the surface of the skin that can lead to dull complexion as well as fine lines. Mandelic acid is used to treat acne, hyperpigmentation & ageing skin and is the go to peel for sensitive skin & darker skin tones.

Salicylic-Azelaic Acid

Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid with astringent and keratolytic properties. Moreover, it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that regulate sebum secretion and reduce the oiliness of oily-acneic skin. Azelaic acid is a dicarboxylic acid that is derived from cereals and has a significant effect against acne. More specifically, it has comedolytic, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial action (it neutralises Propionibacterium acnes of the pilosebaceous follicle) that help fight acne and pigmentation, thereby reducing discoloration and in particular, brown spots due to acne.
